No. Our free tier includes three search projects per year and does not require you to enter credit card information.

In account settings you can view your current billing plan and the number of remaining credits. You can also upgrade to a new plan.

Q/ What is your data coverage?
Our data coverage is comparable to DOCDB and includes bibliographic information from over 98 countries and full text including published applications and grants from 23 countries.
